Andreas Brandal is from Bergen, Norway. He has been making music with various bands and projects since the late 80’s. In 1994 he released his first recording as a solo artist. Andreas is involved in various other bands and duo-projects, including: Larmoyant (with Jarle Nordvik), Monofilament (with Espen Sommer Eide), Generatör (with Continental Fruit), KRAFFT (with Janne Berset) and Lupus Golem (with Hans Kristian Senneseth and Bjørn Kåre Berentsen). He has also worked with Kjetil D. Brandsdal, Masami Akita, John Hegre, Maja Ratkje and Zbigniew Karkowski.

“when marco from the great hardcore band OHUZARU, healing from italy, told me in 2003 about his new band -NAB- and calling it a intense grindcore band i was very interested to hear some recordings of them…
so he sent me a cd with the songs for this seven inch and after the first few minutes of listening to them i was sure about contributing my help to relase this record…

like said before i was very interested to hear -NAB-, but never expected such a great grindcore mayhem…
the first thing poping up in my mind was something like “is this the new band of jesse pintado???” – there are so many things about -NAB-´s musick that remind me on TERRORIZER, mid 90ies NAPALM DEATH and LOCK UP!
beside this unstopable grindcore rage they spread some great melodies over their ultrafast grindparts and also include some cool atmospheric, more slowed down elemtents – this is exactly my cup of tea >>> while listening to this recordings i constantly have to bang my head and smile like a little child playing with his favourite toy…
also the whole artwork complete my idea how a grindcore record have to have to come along – black and red ink on white paper filled all over with skulls – this release for sure offers enough skulls on the front cover to become a classic…

saddly -NAB- disbanded in 2004 and so this little vinyl will be the only musical document of this grind-force…

Shpilberg is a Canadian No wave / Punk rock band. They have released works at labels such as Isolated Now Waves and Brise Cul Records. They recorded these four untitled tracks for Hyperblasted’s split series but the series were cancelled during many problems, so we both decided (band and label) to release as a single work. And the reason?? Those tracks are amazing and it’s toooo bad to be unreleased. Imagine Lighting Bolt got drunk, locked in the studio and performing tracks from Aids Wolf, Gang Wizard, Pre etc. while listening Wolf Eyes and having in mind their last night of drinking and listening old post-punk gemmes. Yeap, they are crazy, you have to listen to them.
